“Social Foundations of Behavior: Doing Things for and with Others in Sparsely Populated Regions of the United States”

Abstract: In this talk, I will discuss ongoing research on social processes of behavioral change. The first part will present how thinking about others affects our behavior in urban and rural contexts. I will then describe the results of a cluster randomized controlled trial conducted to change social and health behaviors in rural and semi-rural areas of 13 states of the United States.
